POSITION: Cashier
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Operating the cash register and handling cash transactions with customers, scanning goods and collect payments.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Handle cash transactions with customers using cash registers
  • Scan goods and collect payments
  • Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets
  • Redeem coupons
  • Make sales referrals, cross-sell products and introduce new ones
  • Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
  • Greet customers when entering or leaving establishments
  • Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
  • Keep reports of transactions
  • Pleasantly deal with customers to ensure satisfaction
 
POSITION: Server
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The right server uplifts the dining experience for customers. Servers responsibilities include greeting and serving customers, providing detailed information on menus, multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties and heating customers food.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Greet and heat customers food
  • Provide cups, dining utensils and condiments
  • Inform customers when food is ready to be picked up
  • Up-sell additional products when appropriate
  • Take accurate food and drinks orders and heating instructions
  • Serve food and drink orders
  • Check plates and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation
  • Wipe down microwaves at the end of each shift
  • Follow all relevant health regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests
 
POSITION: Food Expeditor
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: the Food expeditor responsibility is to keep a smooth workflow between the line cook, server, and runner. You will work in a fast-paced environment to get proper orders out faster and more efficiently. As food expeditor, you must have excellent communication skills. You should have enough stamina to be in constant motion and skills to coordinate and organize people food orders.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure the efficient flow of orders from the runner to the server
  • Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority
  • Assist in the final preparation of orders
  • Check order before delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperature
  • Deliver orders to maintain fast service
  • Eliminate obstacles in service, food preparation lines or dishwashing
  • Handle complaints from clients to preserve the snack shop or COSA café reputation
  • Support other tasks as needed
 
POSITION: Runner
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
Preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, or preparing sauces)
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Retrieving food from the freezer or stock closet
  • Prepare food for customers
  • Answer, report and follow expeditors instructions
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
